An amazing yet easy to keep species, only recently bred in captivity in the UK. The adult males have really impressive leg spines and both sexes are highly intelligent (for a stick insect). They will happily eat bramble but lots of other foodplants are possible. They like it quite humid so glass cages are best, a warm room temperature is fine.
It's sort of possible to sex them when very young, we will try to make sure you get a mix which would almost certainly happen just by chance with 5 insects anyway.
Lots of care info online but similar to jungle nymphs and giant hooded katydids. Probably not suitable for small children as the adults can hurt if handled carelessly without gloves. We might add a free one depending on stock.
