A sexed pair of Giant spiny, aka thorny devil, Eurycantha Horrida, maybe 3-4 cm long at the moment. Plus a free hatchling or two added as well. An amazing yet easy to keep, giant species of stick insect, only recently bred in captivity in the UK. The adult males have really impressive leg spines and both sexes are highly intelligent (for a stick insect). They will happily eat bramble but lots of other foodplants are possible. They like it quite humid so glass/plastic cages are best, a warm room temperature is fine.
Lots of care info online but similar to jungle nymphs and giant hooded katydids. Probably not suitable for small children as the adults can hurt if handled carelessly without gloves. Truly a great species, not too slow to grow up but live a long time, not delicate and fun to handle, we've even taken them to the pub!
